vitalik-buterin-rejects-bitcoin-allocation-rule-stays-committed-to-ethereum-ramzarz-min
Vitalik Buterin's stance on Bitcoin vs. Ethereum and the importance of diversifying assets in the crypto market.

Vitalik Buterin, the creator of Ethereum (ETH), disagreed with the suggestion by analyst Edie Wadsworth to allocate at least 10% of investors’ assets to Bitcoin. Buterin emphasized his commitment to Ethereum, stating that Bitcoin makes up less than 10% of his investment portfolio. He believes in diversifying assets cautiously. Discussions on whether prominent figures in crypto should diversify investments or focus more on their blockchain ecosystem have sparked on Twitter. Despite the recent growth of Bitcoin and other digital currencies, Ethereum remains stagnant. Analysts warn of further price drops if whale activity doesn’t increase. Large Transaction Volume (LTV) is lower, indicating retail investors’ dominance in the market. Buterin suggests layer 2 scalability networks may destabilize Ethereum’s financial stability, proposing developers focus on increasing ETH value within the layer 2 ecosystem. Buterin advocates for layer 2 networks to increase asset value by burning fees or redistributing income to the community. He stresses the need for standardizing blockchain interactions and enhancing security measures to prevent censorship in private layer 2 networks.
