Vitalik Buterin, the founder of Ethereum (ETH), officially took over the guardianship of Moo Deng, a blue pygmy pony that has become an internet sensation, by donating 88 Ether worth approximately $292,000 to Khao Kheow Wildlife Sanctuary in Thailand. Moo Deng, born in July 2024, gained global fame at two months old by sharing its pictures on social networks. Alongside this action, the value of the MOODENG meme coin, launched in September, increased by over 70% in the last 24 hours. Buterin had previously sold 10 billion MOODENG tokens donated to him by the creators for charity purposes, emphasizing the importance of using meme coins for global positive impacts.
