Trump intends to officially announce this strategic agreement in his congressional speech, as informed by four sources. Negotiations for this agreement were delayed after a controversial meeting at the Oval Office, where Trump and Vice President JD Vance asked Zelenskiy to show appreciation for America’s support instead of requesting more assistance. Zelenskiy, in a message on social media, expressed regret over the White House meeting and announced his country’s readiness to sign the agreement. Under the anticipated terms, Ukraine will be obligated to allocate 50% of future revenues from state-owned natural resources to the US-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund.
