Tether, the issuer of the stablecoin USDT, has announced the acquisition of a minority stake in the Italian football club Juventus. Paolo Ardoino, the CEO of Tether, stated that the company aims to integrate new technologies such as digital assets, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology with the sports industry. Founded in 1897, Juventus holds a record of 36 Serie A championships. The club has also won the Italian Cup 15 times and the Italian Super Cup 9 times. Tether emphasized that the funds for this investment are sourced from outside the reserves of their stablecoin.
