Hackers are using malware called ClipBanker hidden in fake Microsoft Office extensions to steal cryptocurrencies. The malware replaces the copied cryptocurrency wallet address with the hacker’s address. Once installed, ClipBanker sends victim’s device information to hackers via Telegram. The malware also checks for antivirus software and removes itself if detected. To prevent such attacks, users are advised to download software only from reputable sources and avoid cracked programs.
