Stay alert! A new Trojan is stealing digital currencies from Chrome users. Protect your assets with security solutions.

Microsoft has identified a new remote access Trojan called StilachiRAT targeting digital currency wallets in the Google Chrome browser. This malware, first discovered in November last year, can steal sensitive information such as saved usernames and passwords, digital wallet data, and clipboard information. After activation, it scans device settings to check for popular digital wallet extensions like Coinbase Wallet, Trust Wallet, MetaMask, and OKX Wallet. If found, it extracts information from these wallets. StilachiRAT can retrieve data stored in Chrome files and monitor clipboard activity to identify sensitive data like passwords and private keys of digital currencies. It also evades detection by security software using concealment techniques. Microsoft has not yet identified the perpetrators behind these attacks but hopes to reduce the number of victims by making this information public. The company recommends users to protect their digital assets by using antivirus software, anti-phishing cloud systems, and security solutions to combat malware. You can view the live and real-time prices of all tokens and cryptocurrencies on the digital currencies’ momentary price page.
