The cybersecurity company Blockaid reported that on January 27, 2024, more than 75 counterfeit tokens misusing the name of the artificial intelligence company DeepSick were released. This number tripled compared to the previous day. Scammers are attempting to steal users’ digital assets by even creating a decentralized program similar to the official DeepSick website. Two fake tokens under this company’s name were able to reach market values of $48 million and $13 million, respectively, but this value quickly decreased. DeepSick, which recently released a new version of its AI program, emphasized in an official statement that they have not issued any digital currency.
Scammers distributed numerous fake tokens pretending to be from DeepSick, leading to financial losses. DeepSick denies releasing any digital currency.
