Experts have warned that federal prisons on the West Coast often fall under the control of gang affiliations. While the Federal Bureau of Prisons has not confirmed if Victorville will be Bankman-Fried’s permanent location, the nature of these facilities suggests it could be his long-term residence. Last month, Bankman-Fried gave an unexpected interview from prison leading to the resignation of his public relations representative.
