Ripple intends to unlock a total of one billion XRP tokens worth over $2 billion from the escrow system in three separate transactions on January 1, 2025. This amount equals 1.74% of the total circulating XRP tokens. Based on Ripple’s performance in December 2024, the company is expected to relock 800 million of the released tokens until February 2028 and hold the remaining 200 million for distribution.
