Senior executives of Ripple, including Brad Garlinghouse, the company’s CEO, recently expressed optimism on social media that US policymakers are increasingly interested in the transformative potential of blockchain technology and digital currencies. Garlinghouse, after participating in key events in Washington DC, such as Crypto Ball and meetings with high-ranking officials, stated that there is significant enthusiasm for the use of digital currencies and blockchain in the US and globally. These remarks come as digital currency policies experienced changes during the Trump era, with the appointment of innovation-friendly officials in regulatory bodies leading to a more balanced approach to the industry. Stuart Alderoty, Ripple’s General Counsel, also confirmed Garlinghouse’s viewpoint, stating that the government has a proper understanding of the industry and its related laws.
