Peter Schiff, a staunch critic of Bitcoin, has made an unexpected move. The gold advocate and long-time Bitcoin critic recently launched his ‘Bitcoin Strategic Reserve’ project and has now transferred his bitcoins from an exchange to his hardware wallet on his birthday. Schiff says this move was for more transparency, but the main surprise is his birthday request. Instead of traditional gifts, he invites people to help with his Bitcoin reserve. He emphasizes that these contributions are not personal gifts but are going into a reserve that he claims he will never sell or use. Schiff is not fully convinced about Bitcoin yet and still prefers gold-backed assets. Currently, Schiff’s Bitcoin reserve is about 0.05 bitcoins worth $4,200.
