Parliament representative warns of negative impacts of closing digital currency gateways on users and market

According to the Berna News Agency, Jafar Ghaderi, the vice president of the Parliament’s Economic Commission, considers the closure of digital currency gateways to lead to users’ mistrust in domestic platforms and the emergence of black markets. Ghaderi criticized describing the closure of domestic digital currency exchange gateways for more than a week as incorrect. He emphasized that decision-making should not result in the creation of a black market for digital currency exchanges. Referring to recent events, Ghaderi stated that closing gateways causes Iranian users to distrust domestic platforms. He stressed that responsible authorities should not move towards blocking and closing digital currency gateways, as such actions may lead to further complications.
