Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, announced the release of GPT-4.5, the latest version of the flagship artificial intelligence model of the company. Altman highlighted that although this new ChatGPT model is not an argumentative model and will not break benchmark records, it has shown significant advancements in conversation. He stated, ‘This is the first model that makes me feel like I’m talking to a thoughtful person.’ However, Altman admitted that due to the ‘scale and costliness of this model,’ its rollout to different levels of ChatGPT subscribers will be gradual. He concluded by emphasizing that OpenAI will add thousands of GPUs in the coming week to complete this process and will add even more in the future.
