According to Bloomberg, Canada plans to launch tradable investment funds (ETFs) for Solana on Thursday. The Ontario Securities Commission has granted permission to four asset managers to offer these new products. These ETFs will invest in Solana for the long term and generate rewards through staking, potentially outperforming Ethereum staking. This move follows the increasing interest in digital currency ETFs globally. In January 2024, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission approved the first group of Bitcoin cash ETFs. Asset managers in the U.S. have also proposed cash ETFs for altcoins like XRP and Solana, but none have been approved yet.
