Ondo Finance, a pioneer in tokenized real assets, announced the launch of its new platform called Ondo Global Markets (Ondo GM). This platform is designed to expedite the transfer of traditional assets to the blockchain, providing online access to stocks, bonds, and Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs). Ondo, with a market value of over $600 million, is considered the world’s third-largest issuer of tokenized treasury securities. The new platform aims to address challenges in the traditional investment ecosystem, such as high fees and limited access, by leveraging blockchain technology to make financial markets more decentralized, transparent, and efficient. Inspired by stablecoins, the Ondo GM platform will create transferable tokens linked to stocks, bonds, and ETFs, under specific controls to ensure only authorized individuals can trade them. Furthermore, Ondo’s first conference is scheduled for February 6 in New York, with the platform promising daily important announcements leading up to the event.
