Cybersecurity firm Kaspersky has uncovered a new method of digital currency scam where fraudsters intentionally post wallet recovery phrases on Youtube comments to lure thieves. In this scheme, scammers create new accounts and request help to transfer $8,000 USDT, leading greedy individuals towards multi-signature wallets. When the thief attempts to transfer the assets, they realize they need to pay fees in TRX, but by sending TRX, their tokens are transferred to another wallet.
