Jabar Kuchakinejad, a representative of the people of Rasht and a member of the Parliament’s Planning and Budget Commission, announced that the recent approval of the High Commission for Regulating the Regulations of the National Cyberspace Center regarding the digital currency regulations is mandatory and enforceable according to the Supreme Leader’s decree in the upstream law. Kuchakinejad, referring to the preference of these regulations over the Central Bank document, said: ‘The digital currency regulations cover the general aspects and regulators in their specialized field need to design and implement the necessary executive measures.’ He added: ‘In the future, the Parliament can legislate regulations in this area so that the entities involved in regulation can operate more transparently.’ According to this member of the Planning and Budget Commission, multi-sector regulation in the field of digital currencies is essential as it prevents the aggregation of risks of a financial industry into one entity and enables the optimal use of experts’ capacities.
