Simon Gerovich, the CEO of Metaplanet, announced on the former social network X (previously Twitter) that this purchase was made at an average price of $85,890 per Bitcoin. Metaplanet’s investment performance in the first quarter of 2025 has been remarkable, yielding a return of 31.8% for investors. The company has ambitious plans for its Bitcoin project unveiled on January 28, aiming to reach 10,000 Bitcoins by the end of 2025 and 21,000 Bitcoins by the end of 2026. To achieve these ambitious goals, Metaplanet recently issued $13.6 million in interest-free bonds.
