According to a new report by CoinGecko, meme coins captured 30.67% of global investors’ attention, making them the most popular tokens in the digital currency market in 2024. This trend, showing significant growth from last year’s 8.32% share, expanded from dog-based tokens to other animals and characters. Additionally, the Solana (SOL) ecosystem ranked second by attracting 14.30% of investors’ attention, with almost half of it related to meme coins on this network. Base Network also accounted for 4.87% of investors’ attention.
