Garanti BBVA Bank, Turkey’s fifth largest bank, offers digital currency trading services through its platform ‘Garanti BBVA Crypto’ to its users. The bank, owned by the Spanish bank BBVA, will collaborate with the Spanish exchange Bit2me for executing transactions. Turkey is recognized as the third largest market in the world for accepting digital currencies, and the EU’s MiCA regulations provide a secure legal framework for traditional financial institutions to enter this area. According to Bit2me, in 2025, banks will start offering digital currency trading services, collaborating with over 50 financial institutions to offer crypto products. Previously, European banks like Deutsche Bank have taken steps to enter the digital currency market.
