Developers of Dogecoin (DOGE) have recently released a new version of the project’s blockchain library called Libdogecoin v0.1.4. This update was announced through the project’s official channel on social media and GitHub, including features such as integration with secure environments, performance enhancements, and broader support for encryption tools like YubiKey. Dogecoin, initially created as a satirical response to Bitcoin’s fluctuations by Jackson Palmer and Billy Markus, has evolved into an active blockchain with contributions from multiple developers. The new version includes features such as support for secure environments, implementation of SPV capability for simplified payments, and encryption algorithms like SHA and ChaCha20 for speed optimization. Key improvements in this version include HTTP server implementation, upgrading block index structure, REST endpoint enhancements, additions of functions like getTimestamp and UTXO confirmations, updating encryption libraries like secp256k1, and support for ARMv8 architecture and DragonFlyBSD operating system. However, Dogecoin’s price performance remains weak. This cryptocurrency, which had surged to $0.5 in December 2024, is now trading around $0.1641. Analysts have identified the next support level at $0.1520. You can view the real-time prices of all tokens and cryptocurrencies on the momentary price page.
