Kanye West, a famous and controversial American singer, announced on Saturday on social media platform X about launching a token called Swasticoin next week, inspired by the Nazi symbol Swastika. This move contradicts his recent statements about misuse of celebrity-backed digital currency projects. West stated that initially, he would allow Jews, friends, and family to buy this token. He also inquired about various blockchain networks and attempted to connect with Changpeng Zhao, the founder of Binance. Reportedly, West intends to retain 70% of the token’s supply and use it to bypass Shopify censorship in his Yeezy store. This is not Kanye West’s first attempt to exploit Nazi symbols. He had previously sold t-shirts with Nazi greetings and broken cross symbols, and his anti-Semitic remarks always attract media attention.
