Kanye West, a famous hip-hop artist and self-proclaimed controversial billionaire, announced on social media that he intends to have a ‘direct’ conversation with Brian Armstrong, the CEO of Coinbase, about purchasing digital currency. Although it is unclear if West currently owns any digital currency, in 2014 he filed a lawsuit against a project called ‘Coinye’ for trademark infringement. It appears that West, whose net worth is estimated by Forbes at $400 million but claims to be $2.77 billion, is interested in buying a large amount of digital currency from Coinbase. West requested contact information for buying digital currency directly from an unknown individual and shared an image of this conversation. It is still uncertain whether West and Armstrong have communicated with each other after the publication of this image or not.
