Javier Milei, the President of Argentina, stated in a TV interview that he did not aim to persuade people to buy Libra cryptocurrency but only wanted to inform. Milei, who faces accusations of fraud related to this Solana-based meme coin, said: ‘I am not an expert. My expertise is economic growth.’ He added that at most ‘maybe four or five’ Argentinians have lost their money and most investors have been ‘Chinese and American’. Milei confirmed meeting with Libra proponents and launchers and hoped to support businesses using digital currencies. This meme coin reached a market value of around $4 billion after Milei’s apparent support but then lost 95% of its value. Hayden Davis, a Libra project consultant, accuses Milei of collapsing Libra by withdrawing his support.
