Japanese investment company Metaplanet continues its Bitcoin accumulation strategy by purchasing an additional $12.9 million worth of Bitcoin. The company announced on Wednesday that it has bought 135 more Bitcoins at an average price of $95,951, bringing its total Bitcoin holdings to 2,235 units. Metaplanet introduced Bitcoin treasury operations as a core business line last December and aims to have 10,000 Bitcoins in its treasury by the end of 2025 and 21,000 Bitcoins by the end of 2026. It’s worth noting that the company’s shares have grown by 67.5% since the beginning of this year and by 233.7% last year.
