Carl Erik Rinsch, the director of the movie ’47 Ronin’ starring Keanu Reeves, has been accused of fraudulently obtaining money from Netflix to purchase digital currencies and stocks. According to the indictment, Rinsch diverted $11 million from the budget of the sci-fi series ‘White Horse’ instead of producing it, transferring it from a network of accounts to his personal brokerage account. He is alleged to have used this money to trade digital currencies and stocks and lost over half of the capital. Rinsch is also accused of spending $5.3 million on suing Netflix, paying credit card bills, and buying six luxury cars. Despite initial losses, he reportedly made a profit of $27 million from a $4 million investment in Dogecoin. Rinsch faces multiple charges including fraud and money laundering, which could result in up to 20 years in prison.
