Crypto.com’s annual report indicates a rise in the number of digital currency holders from 583 million to 659 million in 2024. Bitcoin (BTC) has reached 337 million holders with a 13.1% growth, constituting 51.2% of all digital currency holders, while Ethereum (ETH) has reached 142 million holders with a 13.6% growth. Factors such as the launch of Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs), supportive policies by the Trump administration, and Ethereum network upgrades have contributed to this growth. According to BlackRock’s study, digital currency acceptance has been higher from mobile phones (43%) and the internet (20%).
