According to a market analyst, Ethereum (ETH) may outperform Bitcoin (BTC) in January 2025. Market data shows that the Ethereum to Bitcoin ratio (ETH/BTC) has increased by 3.26% over the past 30 days and currently stands at 0.035. Analyst Michael van de Poppe predicts that the ETH/BTC ratio may surpass 0.04 in January. He anticipates more capital inflow into the Ethereum market while Bitcoin may face capital outflow and remain stable. This scenario could trigger an upward trend for Ethereum ecosystem altcoins. Meanwhile, Shiba Inu (SHIB) and MENT, the second and third largest tokens in the Ethereum ecosystem (excluding stablecoins), have grown by 7.10% and 3.32% respectively in the past 24 hours. Bitcoin price remains below $100,000 and hovers around $98,000. Other analysts believe that Ethereum spot ETFs may outperform Bitcoin spot ETFs in 2025. Analyst Nitin Garcha stated that capital inflows into Ethereum ETFs are currently on par with gold ETFs but expects them to accelerate further. Analyst Benjamin Cowen also mentioned in a recent post that he believes the decline in ETH/BTC has ended and should increase in the next 6 to 12 months.
