Hackers laundered $250 million Ethereum stolen from Bybit Exchange. Lazarus group suspected. Bybit repaid 40,000 Ethereum to Bitget Exchange.

Recently, hackers stole 499,000 Ethereum from the cold wallet of Bybit Exchange. It is suspected that the Lazarus hacking group from North Korea laundered 100,000 Ethereum (approximately $250 million). According to Spot On Chain, the thieves are currently dividing and transferring funds among several addresses and using THORChain for cross-chain exchanges involving Bitcoin, Dai, and other currencies. It is worth noting that the hackers still possess 399,000 Ethereum, exceeding the holdings of Ethereum Foundation and Vitalik Buterin, the creator of Ethereum. Meanwhile, Bybit Exchange repaid 40,000 borrowed Ethereum from Bitget Exchange and took restitutive actions.
