Beta Shares officially launched their exchange-traded funds (ETFs) for Bitcoin and Ether on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). This move signifies the increasing integration of digital currencies into mainstream investment portfolios. These funds, with an annual fee of 0.45%, were developed in collaboration with the index fund manager, Bitwise. Alex Vynokur, CEO of Beta Shares, emphasized the growing global demand from investors for digital assets, and these ETFs offer a legal and simpler alternative to direct ownership of digital currencies. This launch follows the strong acceptance wave of Bitcoin ETFs globally, especially in the United States, and aligns with Ether’s prominent role in decentralized finance (DeFi) operations. This initiative marks Beta Shares’ latest crypto investment following the launch of Crypto Innovators ETF in 2021.
