This action comes after Javier Milei, the President of Argentina, initially supported the Libra project in February, which led to a sharp increase and then a severe drop in its value. Milei later retracted his support and claimed he had no prior knowledge of the project. Hayden Davis, the CEO of the company behind Libra, stated that Milei had been an advisor in this regard. These investigations aim to assess the potential harm to Argentina and Congress demands pressure on Milei’s government to clarify its role in this token.
