Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, announced the delisting of four digital currencies from its platform. These cryptocurrencies include Alpaca Finance (ALPACA), Polkadiap (PDA), Wing Finance (WING), and VibraVid (VIB). According to Binance’s official announcement, the delisting of these four digital currencies will take place on May 2 at 03:00 UTC, and deposits will not be possible after May 3. Moreover, withdrawals of these cryptocurrencies will be suspended after July 4, and open positions in Binance’s futures trading section will be closed by April 30. This decision was made as part of Binance’s periodic reviews, considering factors such as trading volume, liquidity, project team activity, and compliance with regulations. Binance stated that these four digital currencies failed to meet the required standards. Following this news, Polkadiap, Wing Finance, and VibraVid experienced significant declines. Market data shows that Wing had the highest decrease of 31.8%. Additionally, VibraVid decreased by 29.7% and Polkadiap by 17%. In contrast, Alpaca’s price surprisingly grew by 71.3%, with its trading volume increasing by 417.2%. This unusual reaction has raised suspicions among some. Analysts believe that this price surge was possibly due to market manipulation and liquidation of short positions.
