Iranian Parliament member discusses the potential of digital currencies in bypassing sanctions.
According to IBNA news agency, Jafar Ghaderi, the Vice President of the Economic Commission of the Iranian Parliament, believes that Iran should not deprive itself of the potential in the monetary and financial sector by ignoring digital currencies. Ghaderi stated that the absence of clear laws for digital currency operations not only does not prevent it but also leads to the expansion of illegal activities in this area. He emphasized the importance of Central Bank oversight in the digital currency space to prevent money laundering and financial misconduct.
