Patrick Bet David, a financial analyst, predicts that Ripple (XRP) could reach $1,000 in the future, but for this surge, Ripple needs to capture a significant share of SWIFT transaction volume. According to Bet David, by processing only 5% of SWIFT’s daily transactions, Ripple’s price could reach $100. To put this scale into perspective, SWIFT as a global payment system processes about $5 trillion daily and around $1.24 quadrillion annually. Based on this analysis, for Ripple’s price to reach $1,000, it needs to be able to process the total SWIFT transaction volume. However, Ripple currently covers only a small portion of this volume. Nevertheless, increasing acceptance of Ripple technology by financial institutions and entities has strengthened hopes for increasing market share of this digital currency. Bet David states that Ripple network-based stablecoins, such as Rlusd, can be effective in capturing a larger portion of daily SWIFT transactions. Additionally, the resolution of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) case against Ripple could pave the way for institutional investors, making the price grow significantly. At the time of writing, Ripple is trading around $2.17 with a 3.90% increase in the past 24 hours. This price increase follows a turbulent week where Ripple saw over an 11% drop and whale activities intensified. An interesting point is that despite this severe correction, the number of active addresses on the network has reached 1.15 million, indicating growing investor interest. Meanwhile, Dark Defender, a well-known analyst, believes that if the bullish trend of 2017 repeats, Ripple’s price could reach $280 by 2027. Positive news such as Franklin Templeton’s application to launch a Ripple ETF can play a significant role in the long-term growth of this cryptocurrency.
