The union groups of this department have accused it of violating federal laws, claiming that Musk’s organization unlawfully accessed this data. This complaint arises as the Donald Trump administration tasked Musk with implementing this plan to reduce federal costs. The complaint mentions a post by Senator Ron Wyden on the Bluesky platform published on February 1. Wyden stated that sources informed his office that Besant confirmed full D.O.G.E access to the Treasury Department’s payment system. A day before this disclosure, Wyden had asked Besant to clarify this issue.
